Solar Wind: A tip from $1 to $49 will go to general operating expenses.
Comet: A donation of $50 to $99 is applied to stipends paid to artists for cover art, and to writers and artists through the Editor's Prizes.
Meteor: Leave an impact crater with a donation from $100 to $499. At this level, your donation pays for layout fees for digital editions throughout the year.
Protostar: Donors who contribute $500 to $999 cover production costs for the annual print edition.
T Tauri Star: Contributions in the amount of $1,000 to $1,999 fund the contest operating costs and prize money paid out to authors and artists.
Sirius: Supporters who provide $2,000 to $4,999 invest in Sunspot's annual infrastructure needs, including web hosting, advertising, and outreach.
Red Giant: Contributions between $5,000 and $9,999 cover most of the annual operating costs, which frees the magazine to steer existing funds into payments to all contributors.
Neutron Star: Donors providing $10,000 to $19,999 allow Sunspot to reach new markets, grow its audience base, and provide stability to the magazine for up to two years of operations.
